((It's alright, I've just gotten more active myself due to it being near the end of the school year. My last exam is on Tuesday and I'm so freaking happy.
Except for the fact that it's the biology exam and I'm probably going to wing it since my teacher knows everything about the subject except how to teach it. Yeah, I gave up on Tumblr a while ago myself. Nobody really responded to me or made any effort to RP with me, so I just kind of shut down all my operations there except my personal account and focused on RPing here.
I'm really glad you like my starter! A lot of people don't reply when I leave something like this, so I usually assume that I write too much. I really like leaving long starters though, and it's kind of a habit at this point.

Ruby felt a chill as she realized that her phone was attempting to give her an alert to a demonic presence now of all times. Her thoughts devolved into a mess of colorful words as she fumbled with the lock screen and shut the application down. The brief blaze of light the screen gave off was enough to prompt her to move, if only a bit.
The soft glow of a lantern entered her field of vision just as she relocated herself, followed by the sound of someone calling out. Deciding to tread on the side of caution, the girl wrestled with the heavy essence that stifled much else from passing through to her sixth sense. There was a moment of wordless silence, only penetrated by those damned footsteps, which served to remind her of exactly how little time she had to confirm whether this other presence was what had set off her alert or not.
Human. The slight sense finally broke through to her, and she allowed herself to relax, if only slightly. She still wasn't quite sure who this man was or what he was doing here. She had to remain alert for signs of a threat, but at least this didn't mean that she was in any immediate danger of being eaten by a demon.
The teen remained in her hiding spot, but chanced voicing herself. She wasn't quite sure what to expect, but at best, it would put the other at ease a bit. "What do you want?"
